Richard and I worked in the same department from the time he started at Thales, he was a very cleaver man and knew his job very well, and was always there to support me in his field of reliability. I will miss his quick remarks to close someone down, including me, when we were in the wrong or if the conversation was taking a turn that he did not want to go to. He was one of a kind. RIP Richard.
